LEAGUES

Winter Leagues are open to all participants and all disciplines capable of shooting at 18 meters / 20 yards. This is an informal league and open to all levels of shooters, with participation limited to 44 archers. Complete details in attachment at the top of the registration forms.

Handicap League:

  • Every Tuesday for 12 weeks starting January 2nd.

  • Handicap will be rolling, calculated as 80% of missed points in best 2 of the last 3 rounds.

  • The first two weeks are used to build the archer’s handicap with no points decided. The first two weeks scores are also recorded as the archer’s banked scores and will be used if the archer misses an evening with no make-up score submitted.

  • The league will use NFAA 300 / 60x round.

  • A round consists of 12 ends of five arrows each.

  • The timing system with video & audio will be used with four minutes per end.

  • Competition will be arranged as head-to-head after the first two evenings. An archer has the potential to accumulate five total points on any given evening. One point per game, one point for total and one attendance point.

Open Shoot

Indoor open shoot is available for all archers who can demonstrate an understanding of basic archery skills and form for open shoots and adhere to safety requirements. No coaching is provided. Parents of young archers must oversee shooting activities. Equipment rental is available at an additional cost. Indoor open shooting is available only during scheduled times for guests.

From April to October, outdoor target open shoot is available for archers during indoor open shoot times, and occasionally, during class or program times. Outdoor targets with FITA or Spot scoring are available to use on our outdoor practice range, with targets available at marked distances between 20 and 90 meters. Outdoor target shooting is only available to archers with their own equipment.

Open shoot times do tend to vary seasonally and with volunteer availability. We try to keep them consistent by quarter. Please check the calendar prior to coming to an open shoot.

3D Course

Our outdoor 3D Course open shoot is available May through early October, and takes archers through the sequenced course of 25-3D targets (number of targets may vary based on league/seasonal setup), unmarked distance, on a mapped trail through the designated wooded area, and is estimated to take 2 hours to complete. 3D open shooting is available during daylight hours to all guests. Waivers are required and available at the pay box located at the entrance to the 3D course.
